Logline A disillusioned young woman, sickened by the shackles of social media and consumer culture, lures top influencers into an exclusive event—forcing them to confront the hidden forces molding their lives, perceptions, and personas.
Core Message The Coming Masquerade challenges the aspirational fantasies crafted by social media influencers, exposing the unseen manipulations that shape their identities and fuel consumerism. The film defies those in power—corporations, platforms, and individuals—who exploit young adults by preying on their insecurities and desires for personal gain, ultimately harming both people and the planet.

SHOT LIST
Scene 1: INT. TUVA’S ROOM - NIGHT
Siting 500 Sq. Ft. studio apt: 30 E 37th st, 10016
Moody, textured lighting (need help creating)
No overhead lights; multiple small lamps
1 floor-to-ceiling mirror, 2 large mirrors
All props in script available
A. Panning Shot: We first see what’s on the wall — artwork, sketches (her inner world) — then Tuva’s reflection in the mirror, searching through the cluttered mess on the floor, affected by consumerism and desire (British-accented news VO plays over) — then her doom-scrolling (SOUND of influencers’ content), —
B. Extreme Close-Up: Reflections of influencers’ content in one eyeball: scrolling — ending on Mona appearing, intrigued, micro-emotions
(test shoot with Matt: 85mm 3 diopters)
C. From more Tuva’s POV (lying on the carpet), looking up from under her, holding phone — watching Mona. Then the phone slips from her hand and hits her face with a dull, real-world thwack.
D. Master shot? — Hold long enough to let the moment sink in.
